About us
A foundation from the valley, with its feet on the ground.
Fundación Comechingones para el Mundo was born in Villa de Merlo in November 2013 as a non-profit organization devoted to childhood.
Our name honours the indigenous peoples who lived in these mountains. From them we take a simple, ancient idea: a community looks after its children together. That is why we work as a bridge — we listen to what is missing, we look for whoever can solve it, and we stay close until the help arrives.
We do not replace the State or the family: we connect them. We raise resources, we work alongside local institutions, and we sustain spaces where children and the adults who care for them feel heard.
What we do
Four ways of being present.
Listening and support
We sustain spaces for listening, containment and emotional support for children and for the adults who care for them, with professionals who accompany each situation.
Community gatherings
We organize events, campaigns and cultural, sports and recreational activities that bring the community together around the children of Merlo.
Training and teams
We bring together professionals and volunteers, and we run seminars, workshops and training programmes to strengthen those who work with childhood in our region.
